Pauliina Jokela (b. 1975) is a Helsinki based visual artist. She received her MFA from the sculpture department of Estonian Academy of Arts 2012 and BFA from the South Carelia Polytechnic (Imatra Artschool) 2004. At the moment she is studying Art Education at the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture. In her work Jokela applies traditional sculpture methods with a wide range of materials to ready made objects, installations and participatory projects.Her art deals with themes such as experiences of authorities affecting our definition of everyday life. Her works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions both in Finland and abroad.
